Our Story
Fran’s Home Care Solutions was founded out of our own family’s experience. Fran was my mother—a dedicated registered nurse who devoted her life to caring for others. Shortly after retiring, she was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Her health declined rapidly, and it became clear that my parents’ home was no longer suitable for her physical challenges. As a result, we had to move my parents three times, each transition more heartbreaking than the last. My strong, independent, and capable mother had always looked forward to her retirement years. Instead, she became homebound due to her illness. Despite these challenges, she had one heartfelt wish: to remain in the comfort of her own home. Keeping that promise was a steep learning curve—finding in-home services, modifying the house for accessibility, and securing trusted, and sometimes round-the-clock care. That journey began over 30 years ago, and it was through that experience that Fran’s Home Care Solutions was born—out of necessity, love, and a commitment to making a difference.
In honor of my mother’s lifelong dedication to helping others, we proudly carry her name forward in our mission: to provide compassionate, reliable, and personalized home care for those in need, just as we did for Fran.
